Prof. Thomas J. Webster is one if the most highly scientists and engineers if his generation with an H index of 111 (Google Scholar). He obtained his degrees in chemical engineering from the University of Pittsburgh (BSc 1995) and in biomedical engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (MSc 1997, PhD 2000). Professor Webster’s research explores the use of nanotechnology in numerous applications. Specifically, his research addresses the design, synthesis, and evaluation of nanophase materials as more effective biomedical materials. Professor Webster has completed extensive studies on the use of nanophase materials to regenerate tissues. He has served as a Professor at Purdue University (2000-2006), Brown University (2006-2011) and Northeastern University (where he served as Chair of the Chemical Engineering Department 2012-2019). He currently holds several professorships in the USA, Brazil, India, and China and is serving as Chief Scientific Officer for his 12 start-up companies. Professor Webster has received numerous honors including the Biomedical Engineering Society Rita Schaffer Young Investigator Award (2002), the Coulter Foundation Young Investigator Award (2006), the Outstanding Leadership Award for the Biomedical Engineering Society (2011), Wenzhou 580 Award, Zeijiang 1000 Talent Award, Hsun Chinese Academy of Sciences Award, Acta Biomaterialia Silver Award, and Clarivate’s Most Distinguished Researcher recognition (Top 0.1% Citations in Pharmacology and Toxicology). He is also a fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, the Biomedical Engineering Society, the US National Academy of Inventors, the International Union of Biomaterials Sciences and Engineering, and the UK Royal Society for Medicine.

Prof. Jose M. Kenny is Full Professor of Materials Science and Technology and Director of the Materials Science and Technology Center of the University of Perugia in Italy. He is also the Director of the European Center for Nanostructured Polymers with headquarters in Florence (Italy) and operational locations in Italy (Terni, Alessandria), France (Lyon) and Spain (Madrid). He has also been Research Professor and Vice Director at the Institute of Polymer Science and Technology of CSIC in Madrid (Spain) where he continues to direct a research group on nanostructures polymers and nanocomposites. Prof. Kenny graduated in Chemistry at the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) and obtained his PhD at the University of the South (Bahia Blanca, Argentina). After 30 years of academic activities, JM Kenny has authored more than 450 indexed scientific publications (h=45) on the processing of polymers, composites and nanocomposite materials, and has coordinated numerous Italian, Spanish, European and international research and education projects in science and technology of polymers, composites and nanocomposites. He has been visiting professor at several European and American Universities, has been President of SAMPE EUROPE in 2001-2002 and is currently Past President, Trustee and Fellow of the European Society for Advanced Materials and Process Engineering (SAMPE). In 2008-2013 Prof. Kenny coordinated the European Network of Excellence on Nanostructured Polymers and Nanocomposites; in 2011 he received the SAMPE Fellow Award, in 2012 he received the RAICES Award from the Ministry of Research and Innovation of Argentina, and in 2014 he was awarded the Mega-Grant of the Russian Federation for the Theoretical and Experimental Analysis of Thermoplastic Polymer Composites and Nanocomposites.

Prof. Geoffrey Mitchell is Professor and Coordinator Researcher at the Centre for Rapid and Sustainable Product Development at the Polytechnic of Leiria in Portugal. He is Adjunct Professor at the Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, in Mysore India, Visiting Medical Physicist, Oxford University Hospitals Trust, Oxford UK and Emeritus Professor of Physics at the University of Reading in the UK. His eclectic research work bridges material science, physics, biology, chemistry, computer simulation and technology and he is passionate about the opportunities which arise from additive manufacturing. He has pioneered the development of in-situ time-resolving neutron and x-ray scattering procedures to evaluate the structural and morphological transformations involved during manufacturing including Reaction Injection Moulding and Injection Moulding of semi-crystalline thermoplastic polymers and biopolymers. He plans to use this to develop a multiscale digital twin for injection moulding. He has applied this approach to 3D printing to develop the concept of morphology mapping. He is actively engaged in the digitialisation of materials He is a strong advocate for Climate Change and the challenges of sustainability. He has edited a number of books, the most recent “Controlling the Morphology of Polymers” and “Electrospinning – Principles, Practise and Possibilities” with a second edition to be published in 2024. He currently writing a book in partnership with Professor Mahadevappa Kariduraganavar at Karnatak University in Dharwad India on Design, Processing and Degradation of Plastics.

Prof. Chung is a Jade Mountain Chair professor (Yushan Scholar) at the Graduate Institute of Applied Science and Technology of NTUST, Taiwan. Before joining NTUST, he was a Provost’s Chair Professor at the ChBE department of NUS in 2011-2021. His research focuses on polymeric membranes for clean water, clear air, clear energy and pharmaceutic separation. In 2005-2008, he worked as a Senior Consultant for Hyflux, led and built its membrane research team. He became a Fellow in the Academy of Engineering Singapore in 2012 and received the Underwood Medal from IChemE (Institute of Chemical Engineers, UK) for exceptional research in separations and Singapore President’s Technology Award in 2015. He was a highly cited researcher in Chemical Engineering & Materials Science and Engineering by the Elsevier and Shanghai Global Ranking in 2016 and received Distinction Award in Water Reuse and Conservation from International Desalination Association (IDA) in 2016. He was also a highly cited researcher from Clarivate Analytics in 2018 and 2019. His H-index is 120 (Scopus) or 138 (Google Scholar) (Aug 3, 2022).

Dr. Hen Friman holds Ph.D. and Master's degrees from Bar-Ilan University. His master's thesis investigated the effect of Cyt1Aa on prokaryotes, and his Ph.D. research focused on energy production from aromatic chemical degradation of bacteria Using "Bio-Fuel Cells". Since 2012, Dr. Friman is research and lecturer at the Faculty of Engineering. He is currently the academic director at the Renewable Energy & Smart Grid Excellence Center at the HIT - Holon Institute of Technology. Dr. Friman developed an innovative teaching method for a "paperless" laboratory in the field of solar, wind, and water energy. He also managed the "Energy Supervisor" training program at HIT. He was part of the team responsible for developing "Pre-Project and Developing Soft Skills for Engineers" for the undergrad B.Sc. students. The purpose of the course is to define and improve the "toolbox courses" that will provide students with employability skills - Teamwork, effective management of time, risk and quality control, design excellence, and presentation excellence Dr. Friman's research interests include renewable energy, fuel cells, microbial fuel cells, water and wastewater treatment, chemical engineering, ecological education, and academic collaboration.

Mohamed A. Barakat is a Prof. of Env. Sciences at King Abdulaziz University (KAU), Saudi Arabia. He is also a Professor at Central Metallurgical R& D Institute (CMRDI), Cairo, Egypt. Prof. Barakat is an experienced academician and prolific researcher in the field of Industrial waste management, Catalysis, and Nanotechnology. Prof. Barakat has published more than 160 papers in ISI journals and three US patents. He has served as an editorial board member of many reputable journals and he is a reviewer on Elsevier Editorial Board System. According to Scopus, his h-index is 47, and citations of 10340. He supervised more than 20 M.Sc. and Ph.D. theses and established a new Laboratory for “Advanced Technologies for Wastes Treatment” in KAU. Dr. Kahouadji has a PhD in physics, option: physics of materials since April 2017, teacher researcher at A.Mira university of Bejaia –Algeria-, faculty of technology. He is working on nanomaterials based on rare earth orthophosphates in collaboration with two laboratories: Laser Department/ Nuclear Research Centre of Algiers (CRNA), Vinča Institute of Nuclear Sciences, University of Belgrade. Since approximately 7 years his research is entirely devoted to the development of luminescent materials and scintillators for medical and nuclear applications .
